Baby AcneOne in three newborns gets BABY
ACNE on the face by about 4 weeks of age which lasts up to
four months. It might be caused by mother androgen hormones which pass to the baby just before birth causing the events we described earlier. No treatment is needed for baby acne because it is harmless and will go away on its own. Smothering your baby's face with lotions makes the condition worse by clogging his/her pores. Rarely, if one pimple becomes enlarged, red, and spits out pus it has become infected and your baby will need to be seen by a doctor for antibiotic treatment. Otherwise simple wiping of excess grease from the face with dry tissues is all that is needed. Next!
