
BLACK EYES are bruises
around the eye caused by trauma. It is trapped
blood under the skin that makes you eye look black.
You need to see a doctor right away if:
- You're also
having blurred vision
- There's pain
IN your eye
- You see specks
or floaters in your vision
- If normal light
hurts your eyes
Here's what you can also try to Treat a Black Eye:
- Don't take
any aspirin based pain-killers as they thin your
blood taking the black eye longer to heal. Try Acetaminophenproducts
like Tylenol instead.
- Eat pineapple
and papaya (three times a day). Enzymes
in the fruit can soften your bruise and make it easier heal.
- Use an ice
pack around the eye until it feels numb, then give it a
30 minute break. This helps to reduce swelling.
If all else fails and you're dying of embarrassment,
try using makeup to hide the black eye until it's
