Benign Positional Vertigo

BENIGN POSITIONAL VERTIGO is caused by tiny stones forming in the 'pretzel' area of your inner ears we talked about. What causes this no one knows but it tends to happed after 40 years of age if at all. These little stones sabotage the inner ear balance system sending wrong motion messages to your brain when there's no motion of your body. This conflict of signals is what makes you feel dizzy and nauseous.

As the stones roll around they eventually move to areas where they no longer are troublesome. Epley maneuvers are a series of exercises you can ask your doctor about which help to move these stones into these places.
