How long it takes for Broken Bones / Fractures to Heal
The following is a rough estimate to how long it will take for your poor broken bone to heal in a cast. Remember that if you smoke or drink alcohol heavy, or required surgical correction, these times may be longer.
Legs take so long to heal because they have to support the full weight of your body so they need to be pretty sturdy before you can start using 'em.

Whilst sheep shearing a Ewe stamped on my little toe and now it is broken. It is very sore and throbbing!! Some may say sheep are little fluffy things bellieve me they aint. They are 10 stones of writhing jumping meat and heavy bones with hard sharp hooves!!!!!

I broke both bones in my left forearm, while operating a hilo at work. That was 10 years ago, I still experience pain in arm and fingers, when carrying something heavy with this arm.

22 day's ago I broke my elbow. The ER put a splint on my foot and my arm,.they set me appointment with a Dr and he said the only thing he could do was to put it in a boot or splint.he said it was in a place that it had to heal on it own,This worries me Has anyone ever heard of this?should I try seeing another Dr?I am set to have therapy on it

For normal bone healing the fracture site is actually stronger than before when fully healed. So the odds of it breaking the same again are slim. But in complex fractures e.g. osteoporosis, non-union e.t.c. there IS a risk of refracture

Broke my wrist 6 months ago. Even though I was casted the bones healed without completely re-aligning. Regained much flexibility quickly and am still practicing my physical theraphy exercises. But only advanced quickly to a certain place and no more. Can't get complete flexibility back and there is pain in movement. Have regained most of my strength but sudden pain will cause me to drop heavier objects. I am not sure my wrist will ever be as it was.
